It was Jac (Currie of DNO) who introduced me to him at the Saturn Bar. Squirrel was unlike anyone I had ever met and it wasn’t long after I decided to aim my camera in his direction. I had no idea how powerful that video footage would become. Squirrel is a truly unique and amazing individual and I guess White Clover could be seen as a sort of companion piece to ‘No Place…’. At a midnight screening of the film in a warehouse outside of Boston, a young kid nervously came up to me and asked how we made Squirrel’s make-up look so real when he was in the hospital.
